About

A hotline for people who don't have all day.

Stock Alert Line is a free alert service for U.S. investors. We watch the events that reprice stocks and text you the short version, the same day.

What we do

Most investors don't miss opportunities because they lack research. They miss them because the news reached them on a Sunday, three days after the market already digested it. We built Stock Alert Line to close that gap: earnings surprises, open-market insider buying, and major analyst calls, condensed to a single line and sent by text.

Three mornings a week — Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday — we also send The Roundup, a free email that gathers what mattered since the last issue and can be read in under three minutes.

What we are not

We are not an investment adviser, a broker, or a dealer, and we are not registered as one. Nothing we send is personalized investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell a security. We publish information; what you do with it is your decision, ideally made with your own research or a licensed professional.

How we're paid

The service is free to you and always will be. Advertising pays for it. Independent research firms pay us to put their work in front of our readers, and in some cases we earn a commission when a reader takes them up on an offer. Those messages are labeled, and the full terms are on our disclosures page.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number. That is not a policy we can afford to bend — the service only works if people trust the line.

Editorial standards

  • Every message opens with our name, so you always know who is texting you.
  • Every link points to a domain we own or a partner we have vetted.
  • No message ever asks for money, account credentials, or a password.
  • Sponsored content is identified as sponsored, every time.
  • Quiet days stay quiet. We don't manufacture alerts to hit a quota.
