Disclosures & Financial Disclaimer

Advertising disclosure

Stock Alert Line is free to read because advertisers pay for it. Specifically:

  • We have affiliate and marketing relationships with independent financial research publishers. When we send you one of their promotions and you subscribe to their product, we are paid a commission. That commission is typically a share of what you pay them, and it can be substantial.
  • We are sometimes paid a flat fee simply for placing a promotion in front of our readers, whether or not anyone signs up.
  • These relationships influence which offers we present. Assume a financial incentive exists behind every promotional message we send.

Every promotional email, text, and page is labeled as advertising. Being paid does not change what a partner's research is worth, and we do not present a promotion as independent editorial. This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials, 16 CFR Part 255.

What we do not accept

  • No issuer-paid coverage. We do not accept cash, securities, or anything else of value from a publicly traded company — or from an investor-relations firm, promoter, or shareholder acting on its behalf — in exchange for writing about, mentioning, or recommending its stock. Section 17(b) of the Securities Act of 1933 requires that such compensation be disclosed; our position is simpler, which is that we do not take it.
  • No penny-stock or microcap promotion on this brand or this text line.
  • No selling your data. Your phone number and email address are not for sale, rent, or trade.

Positions

Our team members may personally own securities that get mentioned in what we publish. Nobody trades ahead of a message going out, and no personal position determines what we cover.

Financial disclaimer

Stock Alert Line is a publisher. It is not an investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or a financial planner, and it is not registered as any of those with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state securities regulator.

Everything we publish is general information and commentary for a broad audience. None of it is personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer or solicitation to do either. We do not know your financial situation, your goals, your tax position, or your tolerance for loss, and nothing we send takes any of them into account.

Investing involves risk, including the total loss of the money you invest. Securities prices go down as well as up. Past performance — whether ours, an analyst's, or a partner publisher's — does not guarantee or predict future results, and results that a particular person achieved should not be taken as typical or as something you should expect.

Information reaches us from sources we believe to be reliable, but we do not independently verify all of it and we do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, or current. Market data may be delayed. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or for anything you decide to do after reading what we send.

Do your own research, and consider consulting a licensed financial professional, before making any investment decision.

Third-party content

Claims, projections, track records, and performance figures that appear in a partner publisher's materials are that publisher's own, made on their responsibility, and we do not adopt or verify them. When you click through to a partner, you are on their site under their terms and their privacy policy.
