This policy covers this website and the alerts we send.
What we collect
- Information you give us: email address, mobile number (if you opt in to texts), and the consent language, timestamp, IP address and page you submitted from.
- Usage information: device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Message engagement: whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.
How we use it
- To send the alerts, emails and service messages you signed up for.
- To select which sponsored offers are relevant to you.
- To measure advertising performance and improve the service.
- To keep records of consent as required by U.S. telemarketing and email law.
- To detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who operate the business on our behalf — email and SMS delivery platforms, hosting, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of it.
When you click a sponsored offer and choose to sign up with that advertiser, you provide your information to them directly, on their site, under their privacy policy. We learn that the sign-up happened, because that is how we are paid.
We do not sell or rent your mobile phone number, and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information collected for SMS consent is shared with third parties for marketing.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
Cookies and tracking
We and our analytics and advertising partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to understand where sign-ups come from and how campaigns perform. You can block cookies in your browser; core parts of the site will still work.
We honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser opt-out preference signals where required by law.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to end SMS alerts immediately.
- Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email to stop emails.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information through our contact form.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sales” or “sharing” of personal information as defined by those laws. Submit a request through our contact form or by mail at the address above. We will verify it and respond within the timeframe the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Retention and security
We keep subscriber records for as long as you are subscribed, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal and consent-recordkeeping purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure.
Children
The service is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date. Questions go through our contact form, or by mail at the address above.
